Welcome! This post is dedicated to the best-performing Ezreal build in season 11. We will cover runes, items, combos, and other strategies. Learn how to increase your win rate with this Ezreal build in s11 of LoL!
Season 11 of League of Legends opened with many important changes. The introduction of mythic items to the game was such a shift that it completely reinvented the meta. Many old champions resurfaced back onto Summoner’s Rift, while the new ones are more broken than ever.
Ezreal rose to popularity in LoL’s season 11 thanks to a few key factors. The first one is of course the change to Trinity Force. And as you might know, this isn’t the item that Ezreal prefers to build in s11.
Secondly, Ezreal has always been dependant on mana and mana regeneration. Well in season 11, Tear of the Goddess, the first important purchase Ezreal does towards his build in LoL, costs only 400 gold. Previously this item was 750 gold. This allows Ezreal to start the game with Tear of the Goddess and two Health Potions, instead of Doran’s Blade, and start stacking his maximum mana earlier.
And lastly, the addition of mythic items such as Duskblade of Draktharr has made Ezreal’s build invincible in the bot lane. Attack Damage, Ability Haste, Lethality, and Invisibility that resets with every kill packed in one – what more can we ask for?
So without further ado, let’s explore the best Ezreal build in season 11 of LoL!
LoL Season 11 Ezreal Build – Runes
Runes in order:
- Conqueror
- Presence of Mind
- Legend: Bloodline
- Coup de Grace
- Manaflow Band
- Transcendence
Conqueror
Conqueror: Simply put, Conqueror is the best keystone for Ezreal in s11. Ezreal’s playstyle is pretty unique and both of his auto-attacks and abilities do a lot of damage.
Conqueror needs a bit of stacking before it can be activated to buff your damage and self-healing. However, Ezreal can easily stack it because of the overall low cooldown on his abilities. And once stacked, Conqueror helps him tremendously in a fight.
Presence of Mind
Presence of Mind: Ezreal has always had a mana problem in League of Legends. With the rework of Presence of Mind in season 11, the rune should be heavily prioritized in this row. It provides a steady mana regeneration throughout the game and a nice fix to Ezreal’s resource in the laning phase. Together with Tear of the Goddess, you’ll practically never run out of mana.
Legend: Bloodline
Legend: Bloodline In the third row of the Precision tree, Ezreal favors Legend: Bloodline the most. It grants up to 9% Lifesteal if you manage to stack it fully. The way it works is that you gain stacks of 0.6% Lifesteal every time you slay a champion, an epic monster, a jungle camp, or a minion.
Needless to say, Ezreal can stack it in no time and have a permanent self-healing until the end of the game. And it can help him survive those key team fights.
Coup de Grace
Coup de Grace: Coup de Grace is a fantastic rune that has only one purpose – to help you finish off targets. The flat 8% damage increase to targets below 40% HP is especially useful when trying to snipe low-health champions across the map with your ultimate.
It’s worth to mention that sometimes you can choose Cut Down, specifically in games where you face multiple tanks. Otherwise, Coup de Grace should be a standard addition to the Ezreal LoL build.
Manaflow Band
Manaflow Band: As for secondary runes, Sorcery is heavily recommended. This one is the single-best choice here, mainly because of the mana benefits in the early game.
Basically, every 15 seconds you’ll need to hit an enemy champion with one of your abilities. This will grant you 25 maximum mana. And when you reach 250 mana, you’ll gain increased mana regeneration until the end of the game. Manflow Band synergizes extremely well with Tear of the Goddess and Presence of Mind, so it’s a must in Ezreal’s build as well.
Transcendence
Transcendence: And Transcendence is the last must-have runes in the Ezreal build. This is another reworked rune which benefits are simply too much to give away. It grants +5 Ability Haste on level 5 and 8, but the best part comes on level 11.
Basically, once you reach level 11 with Transcendence, kills and assists will practically reset the cooldown of your basic abilities. This is very useful for Ezreal who depends on his Q, W, and E, to do damage and kite in team fights.
This is the best-performing rune page build for Ezreal in season 11 of LoL. Most of the solo-queue players opt for these choices, as well as the professional players like Huanfeng, Kobbe, Prince, Teddy, and Doublelift.
LoL Season 11 Ezreal Build – Items
Items in order:
- Essence Reaver
- Manamune
- Duskblade of Draktharr
- Serylda’s Grudge
- Ravenous Hydra
- Ionian Boots of Lucidity
Essence Reaver
Essence Reaver: Before the rework, no one ever built Essence Reaver on Ezreal. And now, it is the strongest item that you can purchase on this champion. Why is that the case?
Well, Essence Reaver is now built with Sheen, an item crucial to Ezreal’s power growth. Additonally, it grants Attack Damage, Critical Strike, and freaking 20% Ability Haste. Combined with the same value from Ionian boots of Lucidity. Ezreal reaches 40% Ability Haste in the early game. As you can imagine, this is one of the strongest power-spikes in the game currently.
Manamune
Manamune: In the line of must-have items for the Ezreal LoL build in season 11, Manamune takes the second place. It’s also much better than its previous versions, primarily because of the damage-mana increase right away.
With Manamune, you essentially stack maximum mana through Tear of the Goddess. Then, this maximum mana is converted to Attack Damage, which makes it so Ezreal gains bonuses in both ways. First, his Abilities do more damage. And second, he gains the necessary mana to use those abilities all the time. This makes Manamune the second-most important purchase in the Ezreal build.
Duskblade of Draktharr
Duskblade of Draktharr: Many discussions revolve around the mythic item choice for Ezreal in s11. It’s true that this champion can be played with Trinity Force, Divine Sunderer, or any AP choice as well. However, Duskblade of Draktharr is the most used mythic item on Ezreal and has the highest win rate of all the rest.
What makes Duskblade of Draktharr such a great additon to Ezreal’s power is the mythic passive. Despite the Attack Damage, Lethality, and Ability Haste all in one for a price of 3200 gold, Duskblade grants 5% Ability Haste per upgraded item. Thus it’s best to purchase it after Essence Reaver and Manamune.
Serylda’s Grudge
Serylda’s Grudge: If the game is going well, Ezreal should always pick up Serylda’s Grudge as a fourth item. Tanks are slowly coming back into the meta and this is one of the best armor-penetrating items in the game. Not to mention that Serylda’s also grants 1-second slow effect to your abilities. This makes it easier to chase enemies and hit skill shots, which is perfect for the Ezreal build in LoL.
Ravenous Hydra
Ravenous Hydra: Season 11 also introduced Ezreal to Ravenous Hydra. Rather than being melee-only item, Ravenous Hydra now adds an AoE effect to your abilities and auto-attacks. This doesn’t have an inner cooldown so you can always hit multiple enemies with your spells. The item also grants Ability Haste and Omnivamp, two of the most important stats for Ezreal.
Ionian Boots of Lucidity
Ionian Boots of Lucidity: And speaking of Ability Haste, Ionian boots of Lucidity should be one of your first purchases. Its cost was recently increased to 950 gold from 900, but that shouldn’t stop Ezreal from adding it to his LoL build. These boots are the best addition for the prize in the early game.
This LoL Ezreal build is focused around maximum mana and Ability Haste. It’s quite possible to go over 100 Ability Haste while following this item path. This will make your basic abilities be only 2-3-4 seconds cooldown, which is far too broken at the moment!
Situational Items
Obviously, the item build for Ezreal shown above is an offensive-only version. If the game is going perfectly and you have the lead, you can always follow these items. However, sometimes you will also need to include defensive items as well.
The best one here is obviously Guardian Angel. This item allows you to use a Stopwatch early on and escape one death. But, the bonus Attack Damage is also too much to pass on.
If you’re facing Veigar or Twisted Fate, you should prioritize Mercurial Scimitar. Ezreal is naturally a squishy champion so you’ll need to get out of trouble pretty quickly.
And lastly, both Mortal Reminder and Serpent’s Fang should be considered when playing against a lot of healing or shielding.
LoL Season 11 Ezreal Build – Summoner’s Spells
As you might expect, the best combination of Summoner’s Spells for Ezreal is Flash and Heal. However, Exhaust and Teleport can also be useful in certain situations.
Choose Flash and Heal in most games.
Flash and Exhaust is ideal against assassins.
And Flash and Teleport is good for assisting in skirmishes.
Ezreal’s Ability Combos and Skill Order
Ability Combos
The ability combos that you can do as Ezreal all revolve around your W – Essence Flux. This is a skill shot spell that puts a ring around the first target hit. The next auto-attack or ability that hits the same target will burst the ring and do extra damage. The bonus damage depends on which ability or attack will burst the ring. And so we have:
W and Q is the highest damage combo for AD Ezreal build. Use it to do your primary damage or just to poke enemies.
W and E is a quick combo, ideal for securing kills and isolating people in team fights.
W and R is the heaviest damaging combo for AP Ezreal build. It does a lot of damage regardless of your items, but it’s the hardest one to hit.
Skill Order
When you’re playing our AD Ezreal Build in LoL, you want to prioritize your Q – Mystic Shot above all spell. That’s the only basic ability that grows with physical damage, so you want to max it out. Here is how the skill order should go:
Q > E > W > R
AP Ezreal Build – is Ezreal Btter AP or AD?
The answer of this question depends on many different things. Generally, both the AP and the AD Ezreal build do a lot of damage. However, they have two different playstyles. While AD Ezreal has more sustained damage, the AP Ezreal build provides with higher burst damage. It is thus better off in the mid lane than on bot. This is the best AP Ezreal build in season 11 currently!
Runes
Runes in order:
- Dark Harvest
- Sudden Impact
- Eyeball Collection
- Ultimate Hunter
- Manaflow Band
- Transcendence
Items
Items in order:
- Luden’s Tempest
- Lich Bane
- Horizon Focus
- Rabadon’s Deathcap
- Void Stuff
- Ionian Boots of Lucidity
Additonal Info
The AP Ezreal build is all about triggering the W – Essence Flux. This and both of Ezreal’s E – Arcane Shift and R – Trueshot Barrage grow with Ability Power, allowing for some insane damage. With the AP Ezreal build, you should prioritize the W + E combo, as well as the W + R one for the most damage.
Additionally, you can also take Ignite as a second Summoner’s Spell. This will increase your kill potential early one in the game, especially if you can continually poke your opponent with Essence flux.
And while the items in this build may vary, Lich Bane, Rabadon’s Deathcap, and Void Stuff should remain constant.
Ezreal in Pro Play
Ezreal is one of the most contested picks on the professional scene in season 11. He has a very safe laning phase and cheap power-spikes that allow experience ADC players to secure victories early one. Here are the best professional Players in 2024:
