Warriors are the original melee class in World of Warcraft. They’re the defenders of Azeroth and form the first line in any attack or defense. Their identity has been part of the game since the very beginning. And their aesthetic has always been clear and to the point! So today we’ll review the top 15 best transmog sets for the Warrior class!
How do Warriors dress up in WoW?
Well, they usually wear big bulky plate armors that cover them from head to toe. They sometimes enhance their item pieces with magical energies to help them defeat their foes. And the most important question that a Warrior can ask himself when choosing a transmog is whether it would fit his sword! The Warrior’s weapon is a key to everything this class can do, so we’ll give you 15 different transmog sets that can fit any axe, sword, or mace in the game!
The transmogrification system may seem like an odd feature in World of Warcraft, especially if you’re a new or returning player. But to simplify matters – the transmog feature allows you to change how your gear looks. You can visit any major city and find transmog NPCs there. Interacting with these NPCs will let you swap the look of your select item. Or you can collect entire sets and transmog them altogether!
Let’s check out the 15 best transmog sets for Warrior and see how you can collect them for your character!
Top 15 Best Warrior Transmog Sets
15. Dread Sentinel’s Ebony Breastplate
- Collected by: completing the Venthyr story campaign in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.
With the launch of Shadowlands, the covenant system was introduced to the game. We, as players, were requested to join one of the four covenants and make them allies. Needless to say, most Warriors joined the Venthyr covenant because of all the great benefits, most notably – Condemn.
As a reward, the initial Venthyr story campaign rewarded the player with the Dread Sentinel’s Ebony Breastplate. Although available to Death Knights and Paladins as well, this set surprisingly fitting for a Warrior. It’s dark, sinister, and vampiric – something that Warriors don’t often wear. Three colors cover the entirety of the set, namely black, grey, and red. And for anyone who loves Revendreth and the Venthyr covenant, this set is a treat!
14. Battlegear of Resounding Rings
- Collected by: looting the gear pieces from the Heart of Fear raid on Heroic difficulty.
Heart of Fear is a fondly remembered raid by players of all classes. It was quite an interesting instance to clear, with fun bosses and unique mechanics. And during that time, Warriors could collect their Battlegear of Resounding Kings, the proper outfit for dark and twisted emperors!
The Heart of Fear raid was heavily influenced by Old Gods, which can be seen in the armor set itself. This outfit is eery and evil, with two terrifying blades on the helmet piece. The Heroic version of the set has beautiful coloring, despite its great complexity. So we absolutely recommend it!
13. Prideful Gladiator’s Plate Armor
- Collected by: purchasing the armor set from the Prideful Gladiator vendor in Ashran, Draenor.
Warriors often like to display parts of their defeated enemies and slain monsters on their armors. And one such armor set is Prideful Gladiator’s Plate Armor. Although not as shiny as some other outfits, this is one of the most used transmog sets for Warriors in WoW. That’s partly because it’s very easy to obtain, but also because it’s simple yet brilliant.
Prideful Gladiator’s Plate Armor is a monstrous set that features horns and a giant skull on the shoulder. This skull shines in turquoise color from time to time, making it a very interesting element. And you can have it by purchasing it from the PvP vendors in Ashran for only 12 Marks of Honor!
12. Warplate of the Obsidian Aspect
- Collected by: looting the gear pieces from the Nighthold and the Emerald Nightmare raids on Mythic difficulty.
The Warrior transmog sets often include demonic elements, especially the ones that come from the Burning Crusade and Legion expansions. Warplate of the Obsidian Aspect is one such armor set, displaying demon horns and spikes on the different item parts.
You can easily farm this outfit by clearing The Nighthold and the Emerald Nightmare raids on Mythic difficulty. Currently, in Shadowlands, you don’t need anyone to help you while doing so. You can simply solo both of these instances and have the Warplate of the Obsidian Aspect in a couple of weeks!
11. Grand Sentinel’s Greatplate
- Collected by: looting the gear pieces from the Castle Nathria raid on Mythic difficulty.
Shadowlands has another amazing transmog set for Warriors and that’s the Grand Sentinel’s Greatplate. This one comes from the first raid in the expansion, Castle Nathria on Mythic difficulty. It’s both a glorious and a malevolent outfit, fit for Warriors that have traversed the different planes of reality.
The golden-black combination of colors is something we don’t often see on the Warrior transmog sets. But the Grand Sentinel’s Greatplate is also magnificent in the way the design fits the character’s model. All the item pieces flow together and create one beautiful outfit. Clearing CN on Mythic difficulty isn’t the easiest feat you can do in WoW, but if you’re a Warrior, then it’s well worth it!
10. Sanctified Ymirjar Lord’s Battlegear
- Collected by: looting the gear pieces from the Icecrown Citadel raid on 25-player Normal difficulty.
Icecrown Citadel still stands as one of the best raids that the World of Warcraft audience has ever seen. Its significance is big and its history is rich. Thankfully, the Warriors were among the heroes that cleared this instance and defeated the Lich King. And for that, they received the Sanctified Ymirjar Lord’s Battlegear!
This outfit is such an important part of the Warrior’s history, especially because Blizzard based many of their late armor designs on this one right here. The headpiece, the shoulders, the breastplate – everything is neat and top-notch!
9. Wrathful Gladiator’s Plate Armor
- Collected by: purchasing the armor set from the Wrathful Gladiator vendor in Dalaran, Wrath of the Lich King.
But Wrath of the Lich King gave Warrior another brilliant transmog set and that’s the Wrathful Gladiator’s Plate Armor. Warriors were easily the strongest DPS class for PvP that expansion, with many players unlocking the full set at 2400 arena rating.
The Wrathful Gladiator outfit is perhaps the most used of all Warrior transmog sets. Its design is an ideal match to the very idea of being a Warrior in WoW, so players generally love it. These days you can simply purchase the entire set for 12 Marks of Honor from the PvP vendors in Northrend, Dalaran.
8. Necrolord Bladesworn Harbinger’s Plate Set
- Collected by: completing the Necrolord story campaign in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.
Necrolord was the second covenant that the Warriors joined in Shadowlands, at least the PvP players. The Necrolord Bladesworn Harbinger’s Plate set is the equivalent of the Dread Sentinel’s Ebony Breastplate set, but for this covenant. It can easily be collected by playing through the initial storyline after becoming a Necrolord yourself.
The reason why we give consider this to be one of the best transmogs sets for this class is that Warrior doesn’t have any similar designs to this. The Necrolord Bladeworn outfit looks like it’s been crafted for Death Knights, but that’s exactly what makes it unique. The bones and the unholy energies are a rare sight on a Warrior, so it’s nice to have.
7. Dreadful Gladiator’s Plate Armor
- Collected by: purchasing the armor set from the Dreadful Gladiator vendor in Mists of Pandaria.
Many who choose to play Warrior in World of Warcraft are inspired by great fighters, army commanders, and gladiators. Well, the Dreadful Gladiator’s Plate Armor is Blizzard’s take on a Spartan-like armor, of course, in a magical world.
The entire outfit is colored with gold and silver, with red gems adorning various parts of the set. There are large feathers decorating the heavy helmet and the broad shoulder pieces. We especially love how this outfit appears in-game and how it fits the character’s model. So, a highly recommended purchase!
6. Colossal Dragonplate Battlegear
- Collected by: looting the gear pieces from the Dragon Soul raid on Heroic difficulty.
The Colossal Dragonplate Battlegear is one of the most unique transmog sets for Warriors because it’s the only purple outfit they got. Because it comes from the Dragon Soul raid, where we fought Deathwing, it has both dragon features and Old God elements. It looks fierce, otherwordly, and malicious.
The best parts of this set are definitely the shoulders. They display massive dragon horns which are present on the helm too. The rest of the outfit looks heavy and powerful, exactly like the Warriors like it!
5. Gravelord’s Battleplate
- Collected by: looting the gear pieces from the Battle of Dazar’alor raid on Mythic difficulty.
In Battle for Azeroth, Blizzard changed the armor set philosophy and started to ship out outfits based on the type of armor the class wore instead of the class itself. Plate users, such as Warriors, were offered the Gravelord’s Battleplate set from the second raid of the expansion – Battle of Dazar’Alor.
The Mythic version of this gear set is absolutely stunning. It’s completely made out of bones, skulls, and tusks. Deathly blue magical energies emanate from the shoulders and the helmet. And the long grey cloak is fit for a champion of death! This is the perfect outfit for Warriors in Shadowlands, so make sure to start farming it!
4. Battlegear of Wrath
- Collected by: looting the gear pieces from the Blackwing Lair raid.
During the good old days of vanilla World of Warcraft, Warrior was one of the most popular classes. It certainly felt that way because all top DPS spots were always Warriors. In any case, Blizzard gave the class a glorious gear set as a reward for raiding the Blackwing Lair – Battlegear of Wrath.
Battlegear of Wrath is a fantastic example of how the Warriors were first imagined in WoW. The brutal war features are on the forefront here, with axe-like shoulder pads towering over the rest of the set. It’s definitely an interesting out to get and it’s an easy one to farm solo!
3. Ruthless Gladiator’s Plate Armor
- Collected by: purchasing the armor set from Ruthless Gladiator vendor in Orgrimmar (Horde) or Stormwind (Alliance).
Warriors don’t often get gruesome armor sets, but the Ruthless Gladiator’s Plate Armor is an exception. Not only does this plate looks odd and untraditional, but it’s also decorating with gaping maws on the shoulders and the headpiece. There is an actual fire coming out of them, behind that eery purple hue.
The Ruthless Gladiator set can easily be obtained. All you have to do is visit the PvP vendors in your own city and purchase it from them for 12 Marks of Honor. And that’s it!
2. Blackhand’s Battlegear
- Collected by: looting the gear pieces from the Blackrock Foundry raid on Mythic difficulty.
The Blackhand’s Battlegear can easily be on the number one spot on our list. It’s by far the best among the Warrior transmog sets that we’ve seen in the last couple of expansions. It comes from the Blackrock Foundry raid and the version is Mythic.
Where do we start? Everything about this set is simply stunning! The entire armor is black and vicious, signifying the iron will of the Iron Horde. Besides the amazing helmet, the shoulder pads have two blazing war wheels rotating constantly at high speed. And the rest of the parts are sleek and look marvelous in-game. We rate the design 10/10!
1. Destroyer Armor
- Collected by: looting the gear pieces from the Serpentshrine Cavern raid.
And finally, we have the Destroyer Armor – the best transmog set for your Warrior character in World of Warcraft! We don’t know whether it’s the design alone or the significance of this armor set, but this outfit is simply in a category of its own.
Back in Burning Crusade, elite Warrior players would run around in their Destroyer Armors and slay anyone who’d stay in their path. Everything from the demonic helm to the heavy boots speaks of power and domination, two things that Warriors are very familiar with.
The Destroyer Armor has everything that a fighter might need for battling demons. Winged shoulders, horned helmet, blazing breastplate – all of them colored and drawn to fit the idea of a hellish Warrior!
And those are the top 15 best transmog sets for Warrior in WoW Shadowlands!
